Chongwe River Camp is set beneath a canopy of winterthorns at the confluence of the Zambezi and Chongwe rivers, this nine tented classic camp combines the best of everything, from first-class service and luxurious accommodation to exceptional game viewing and enlightening cultural experiences. Chongwe River Camp also offer the Albida or Cassia tented suites. These suites are luxurious self-contained colonial-style tented suites suitable for couples or a family with private dining / lounge area and its own plunge pool.
Chongwe River House sleeps eight in four spacious ensuite bedrooms, making an ideal safari base for a family or a group of friends wanting a private safari. It stands on the banks of the magical Chongwe River, close to the Zambezi, and with a sensational view of the dramatic mountainous escarpment beyond. The property comes fully staffed with a guide, house manager and private chef – all of whom will tailor your private safari.
Kasaka River Lodge is a 20 bed luxury tented camp offering an authentic and memorable safari experience. Nestled on the banks of the Zambezi River in the Chiawa Game Management area it is set in a natural bush environment with each chalet secluded amongst the native flora, only 4 kilometers by road from the Lower Zambezi National Park
In July 2010, Chongwe River Camp opened the beautiful Tsika Island bushcamp, located about 35 kilometres upstream from Chongwe, close to the village of Mugurumeno, Tsika Island Bush Camp can accommodate six guests in three bush rooms, each with en-suite facilities, and is a community partnership project combining canoeing with an authentic cultural experience.
At Chongwe Safaris, activities are tailored to make the most of this incredibly diverse wilderness. Game viewing can be done by vehicle or by boat on the Zambezi. Canoeing, walking and, of course, fishing are also offered.
